
Over the Top Spicy Cannellini Bean and Marzano Tomato Toasts

We love avocado, but we also love BEANS! Cannellini beans have that certain je ne sais quoi with their delicious flavor and unique, almost creamy, texture. Here, Chef Laura combines the beans with baby Marzano tomatoes, Calabrian chilies and Over the Top Italian for the ultimate creamy-crunchy combination, all delivered on delicious sourdough.
Over the Top Spicy Cannellini Bean and Marzano Tomato Toasts Recipe

Ingredients
- One 14oz can Cannellini Beans, drained
- 1 cup Baby Marzano Tomatoes, quartered
- 2 cloves Garlic, minced
- 2 Tbsp Extra-Virgin Olive Oil, divided
- 1 Tbsp Calabrian Chilies, crushed
- 4 large pieces Sourdough Bread, thickly sliced
- 1 Tbsp Parmesan or Pecorino Romano, finely grated
- 2 tsp per toast (8 tsp total) Over the Top Italian
Instructions
- Heat a medium sauté pan over medium-high heat. When hot, add remaining olive oil. Add the bread and quickly flip so each side gets oiled. Continue to cook until toasted and golden on each side. Before removing from heat, dust one side of each toast with grated cheese.
- Remove toasts to a cutting board and top with the spicy cannellini bean mixture. Finish each toast with two tsp of Over the Top Italian. Serve Immediately.
Notes
Spicy Cannellini Bean mixture can be prepared in advance and served cold over warmed toasts.Referenced products
