We know them and we love them - green beans are a delicious staple plus expected on the holiday table.  Here, chef Laura does a GBR (green bean riff) and uses Marcona almonds seasoned with rosemary in combination with Over the Top Southeast Asian blend.  How many languages can you say "divine?"

Haricots Verts Amandine - Southeast Asian Fusion Recipe

Cook time: 15 minutes
Servings: 4-6 as a side

Ingredients

  • 1 pound Haricots Verts, French style trimmed green beans
  • 3 T plant based or unsalted butter
  • 1/4 cup Marcona Almonds, plain or Rosemary, roughly chopped
  • 2 Tablespoons Over the Top, Southeast Asian blend
  • Kosher salt to taste

Instructions

  • Heat a medium sauté pan over medium high heat. Add butter and melt
  • Add green beans and sauté until bright green
  • Add almonds and Over the Top; continue to cook until beans are crisp tender
  • Season with kosher salt, to taste
  • Using tongs, remove beans to a serving plate or individual dishes, then spoon almond/Over the Top mixture over the beans.
